Responsibilities
- As Senior Infrastructure Consultant, you are responsible for delivering multi-scale and comprehensive IT solutions that reflect business process best-practice for various industry sectors and are based on new wave technologies, latest tools and methodologies.
- Your passion is technology. You want to live the DevOps-idea and have the desire to drive automation-ideas in a development team and to participate in the vision “continuous everything”. You have overcome traditional hurdles and patterns of development and operation because you know the advantages of DevOps.
- You are “Ops” in DevOps to be a member of an agile SCRUM team and accompany products from the requirement through development to integration into production.
- You live a “fail-fast mentality” and use proof-of-concept approaches to inspire the participants of your solution idea.
Qualification
- Completed studies or equivalent with technical reference
- Experience in managing projects, such as “Statement of Work” negotiations, project initiation, customer management, project execution and implementationWith consulting
- With consulting experience, you are familiar in proposing competitive and innovative technical solutions that receive the customer’s approval and reliably implement the agreements
- Demonstrated mentoring and influencing skills while supervising teams in a trusted environment
- In-depth technical experience in the implementation of IT Infrastructure
- Experience in system integration with Linux distributions (such as RedHat, SuSE Linux), in the RedHat ecosystem including RedHat container platforms like OpenShift
- Experience with container technology, system provisioning (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose) and scripting of infrastructure configuration
- Experience with the operation of IaaS, PaaS, CaaS and SaaS based landscapes on AWS or AZURE product portfolio would be advantage
- Background in Linux/Unix administration and familiar with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tool chains like Jenkins, Maven, ANT, Grunt, GIT, Nexus
- Attach importance to automation (e.g. with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Rundeck) and have programming experience (e.g. Java, Ruby, Python or others) and database knowledge (e.g. SQL, MySQL or NoSql)
- Experience in building automation tools (automake, make, grunt, rake, ant) and version control systems/repositories (git, subversion, artifactory, nexus)
- Ability to think outside the box and experiment with cloud infrastructure variants (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), Cloud-Native Services and new approaches to system development
- Hands on experience with distributed platforms like Kafka
- Familiar with software development and test automation frameworks
- Experience in monitoring tools and up-to-date operating frameworks (NewRelic, ELK, Splunk, Graylog, etc.)
- Curious, Open minded, customer-oriented and enjoy working in an international environment
- Results-oriented problem solver with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to develop technical documentation on applications and systems
- Ability to communicate in German and English languages
